About the program

Federal Law No. 13,709/2018 - the General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD) establishes rules for the protection of and respect for the processing of personal data of natural persons (individuals), with the aim of protecting the fundamental rights of freedom and privacy.

The law aims to protect the rights to freedom and privacy of personal data subjects.

Information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person: Examples: ID, CPF, address, telephone number, e-mail address, financial information, affiliation, nationality, etc.

Data on racial or ethnic origin, religious conviction, political opinion, membership of a trade union or religious, philosophical or political organization, data relating to health or sex life, genetic or biometric data, when linked to a natural person;

In accordance with Art. 18 of the LGPD, Montreal must respect the following rights of the holder of personal data and make them available upon request: 
I. Confirmation of the existence of treatment; 
II. Access to data; 
III. Correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data; 
IV. Anonymization, blocking or deletion of data that is unnecessary, excessive or processed in breach of the provisions of this Law; 
V. Data portability to another service or product provider, upon express request, in accordance with the regulations of the national authority, observing commercial and industrial secrets;     
VI. Deletion of personal data processed with the consent of the data subject, except in the cases provided for in section 7 (seven) of this document; 
VII. Information on public and private entities with which the controller has shared data; 
VIII. Information about the possibility of not giving consent and the consequences of refusing; 
IX. Revocation of consent.

The Person in Charge of Personal Data Processing, under the terms of article 41 of the LGPD and Resolution CD/ANPD No. 18/2024, is the person appointed by the controller to act as a communication channel between Montreal, the holders of personal data and the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD), in addition to carrying out other legal and regulatory duties.

At Montreal, the formally designated person in charge is Augusto Terra Placerwhere Sandro Luis Ventura Neto yours officially appointed replacementto ensure continuity of activities in the event of absence, impediment or vacancy, as provided for in Article 4 of Resolution No. 18/2024.

The company also has a Privacy and Data Protection Committee, which acts in an advisory and strategic manner, supporting the implementation and governance of LGPD compliance actions.
