The Maranhão State Treasury Department (SEFAZ-MA) has always played an essential role in state tax management, guaranteeing the collection and inspection necessary to maintain public finances. However, the Information Technology area faced significant operational challenges.
With services contracted on the basis of labor allocation (man-hours - HH), there were difficulties in controlling demands, managing productivity and lack of strategic alignment with the secretariat's needs. In this scenario, it was decided to migrate to a model based on the provision of services measured by Technical Service Units (UST).
